While out hunting, a king discovers a creature covered in the rainbow coat made from the feathers of every bird of the air. The creature turns out to be a young girl who cannot speak. The king sets her to work in the palace kitchens. Sometime later he throws a masked ball and the banquest is outshone when a beautiful stranger arrives.
