Summary

Full colour reproductions of numerous patterns of Fair Isle knitting as purchased by Anderson & Co of Lerwick from local self-employed knitters. Originally compiled in two books, mainly from the 1930's and 1940's, the A4 page reproductions have full size full colour graphs of numerous popular designes made and sold in the mid twentieth century. Bill Henry was in charge of the Hosiery (i e Knitwear) department at Anderson & Co in Lerwick. The actual compilers of the patterns may have been him and/or several others. Produced in association with the Shetland Guild of Spinners, Knitters, Weavers and Dyers.
