"Through a Croft Window" was the fictional journal of "A Crofter's Wife" and as the author wrote , "Most of the incidents have some foundation in fact, but I have added and taken away a great deal". It provides an insight into the differences in living and working conditions since the 1950's, against a background of unchanged weather. Written partly in dialect and English, there is an extensive glossary.
